Communication coaching from someone who's actually been in the room.

I've prepped spokespeople for live national interviews, reported live on air and managed real media moments. Now I teach leaders at every stage — from students finding their voice to founders facing the cameras — how to show up prepared, speak with purpose, and lead with presence.

Show up prepared. Speak with purpose. Lead with presence.

Two paths, one standard: Whether you're an emerging professional learning the unspoken rules of success or an executive sharpening your public voice, you'll get coaching built on real-world media and communications experience — not theory.

The Readiness Experience

Mentorship and professional development for Black and brown youth — making the unspoken rules of success visible.

Talent is everywhere. Access isn't. The Readiness Experience equips students and early-career professionals with the soft skills, presence training, and insider knowledge they need to thrive in academic and professional spaces — the things nobody puts in the syllabus.

Who it's for

  • Students preparing for internships, scholarship interviews, and their first professional rooms

  • Early-career professionals already being asked to present, lead, and show up — before anyone taught them how

  • Rising talent who want to build the communication skills their future self will thank them for

What participants walk away with

  • Interview skills practiced live — not just read about — with real feedback from a coach who's prepped professionals for high-stakes moments

  • On-camera confidence for video interviews, virtual meetings, and personal branding

  • A clear, authentic answer to "tell me about yourself" they can deliver on command

  • The unwritten rules of professional spaces, decoded: how to network, follow up, advocate for yourself, and read the room

  • A community of peers and mentors who look like them and are rooting for them

Executive & Founder Communication Coaching

Your ability to communicate is your competitive advantage. Sharpen it with someone who's lived and managed real media moments — not just read about them.

Who I work with

Entrepreneurs & Founders You built something from scratch. Now tell that story with the same confidence you used to build it — pitching investors, stepping onto a podcast, or facing your first media interview.

Nonprofit Leaders Your mission matters too much for a muddled message. Articulate your impact so funders, boards, and communities actually lean in.

Education Leaders From school board meetings to community town halls, you're always on. Navigate high-stakes communication with composure, credibility, and a message that lands.

This is for you if…

  • You have a media appearance, keynote, or major presentation coming up and you want to walk in genuinely prepared, not "I read a blog post" prepared.

  • You're building a public profile and want a consistent, authentic personal brand story you can deliver on command.

  • You've been told you're great one-on-one, but you lose your spark in front of a group or a camera.

  • You're tired of advice from people who've never sat in a newsroom, prepped a spokesperson, or managed a live media moment.

Workshops & Coaching

Communication That Lands: Grounded, authentic confidence — not performative, not "fake it till you make it." You'll leave with a prepared, pressure-tested opening for your next high-stakes moment.

Prepared, Polished, Powerful: Communication is your leadership currency. Learn to adapt one core message for a boardroom, a panel, and a tough conversation — and practice it live with real-time coaching. You'll leave with a message framework you can flex across any audience.

Tell Your Story: Every leader needs a narrative — one that communicates who you are, what you bring, and why it matters. You'll leave with a 90-second signature story you can deliver on command, on camera or on stage.

1:1 Media Prep & Coaching: Direct, personalized prep for a specific upcoming moment: interview, keynote, funding pitch, or press appearance.

The Readiness Experience

(Students, Emerging Talent, Schools & Partners)

Who is The Readiness Experience for? The Readiness Experience is a mentorship and professional development program for Black and brown youth — high school students, college students and early-career professionals. If you're preparing for interviews, internships, scholarships, or your first professional roles and want the unspoken rules of success made visible, this is for you.

What will participants actually learn? Real, practiced skills — not lectures. Participants work on interview technique with live feedback, on-camera presence, networking and follow-up, professional storytelling ("tell me about yourself" — answered, for good), and the unwritten rules of academic and professional spaces. They leave with skills they've done, not just heard about.

How much does it cost to participate? Every partnership is custom-built — pricing depends on the format you choose, the number of participants, and whether we're working in person or virtually. Rather than quote a one-size-fits-all number, I'd rather hear about your students and your goals first. Book a discovery call and I'll put together a proposal that fits your group and your budget.

How is the program structured? Flexibly — because no two groups of students are the same. We offer in-person programming throughout Atlanta and the surrounding metro area, as well as virtual sessions for partners anywhere. Sessions typically run 60 to 90 minutes, and we can deliver anything from a single high-impact workshop to a multi-week series. On our discovery call, we'll design a structure around your students, your calendar, and your goals.

How can my school or organization bring this to our students? We partner with schools, nonprofits, and community organizations to deliver The Readiness Experience (on site, virtually or both). Programs can be tailored to your students, your calendar, and your goals. Reach out via the Partner With Us and we'll set up a conversation.

FAQs

Coaching & Workshops

(Executives, Founders & Leaders)

I'm not a CEO or a public figure. Is this still for me? Absolutely. Our sessions are for anyone who needs to communicate with impact — whether you're a first-time founder pitching at a local event, a nonprofit director presenting to a board, or a young professional who just got tapped to represent your organization publicly. You don't need a title to need this work. You just need a moment that matters.

What if I don't have a specific event coming up? Even better. The best time to build these skills is before you need them urgently. We'll focus on foundational skills — your story, your presence, your message — so when the moment comes, you're ready.

What makes this different from a public speaking course? Public speaking courses teach you how to give a speech. Our sessions teach you how to communicate strategically across every context — interviews, panels, pitches, boardrooms, crisis moments, and yes, speeches too. Plus, you're working with someone with 10+ years of real newsroom and media relations experience — not just presentation theory.

How do sessions actually work? Sessions are held virtually or in person in the Atlanta area. Coaching is one-on-one or a small group. Workshops run 60- 90 minutes to half a day for teams and organizations. We'll build a format around your goals — a single intensive before a big moment, or ongoing coaching.

What does it cost? Every engagement is a little different, so pricing depends on format and scope. The best first step is a free discovery call — we'll talk about what you're working toward, and I'll recommend the right fit. No pressure, no obligation.

I get nervous on camera. Really nervous. Will this work for me? You're exactly who this is for. Nerves aren't a flaw to hide — they're information, and we work with them, not against them. My approach isn't "fake it till you make it." It's preparation, clarity, and practice in a supportive space, so the confidence you walk in with is real.

My interview / keynote / media appearance is in two weeks. Can you help? Yes. Rapid prep is what newsrooms run on, and it's what I built my career doing. Reach out as soon as you can and we'll design an intensive around your timeline. [If you have limited availability for rush work, say so: "Rush availability is limited, so don't wait."]

What happens on a discovery call? It's a 15–30-minute conversation — no slides, no pitch. You tell me what's coming up and what's getting in the way; I'll tell you honestly whether and how I can help. If we're a fit, we'll map out next steps. If we're not, I'll point you toward what might serve you better.
